Oliver Glasner has praised his star forward Eberechi Eze, asking ‘who is better’ than the 26-year-old. The Crystal Palace star shone against his former team Queens Park Rangers in Tuesday’s 2-1 EFL Cup third round win at Loftus Road with his head coach claiming ‘everybody likes’ him due to his goal-scoring prowess.

He has gone on to score two goals and contribute three assists in six matches already with Glasner evidently aware that when the January transfer window opens up, Palace’s Premier League rivals may well be asking about Eze’s availability once again.
Speaking after the Eagles’ win over QPR, in which Eze assisted Eddie Nketiah’s opening goal before scoring himself in the second half, Glasner said: “Ebs is always on the pitch because he’s always able to score a goal.”

“We said at halftime when they are so many legs, sometimes just take the shot and the ball might get deflected (!) and of course we were a little bit lucky that it happened in this way.”
When asked about his player’s form so far this season, Glasner replied: “Who is a better player than Eze? For me, he is absolutely top. If he had been a little bit lucky this season, he would have five or six goals this season: disallowed (vs Brentford); big chance against West Ham; scored against Norwich and scored today.
