Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal should try to sign a Premier League star this winter as they piece together a Premier League title bid.
Arsenal have enjoyed a superb start to the season so far, sitting pretty at the top of the table after 13 games. Mikel Arteta’s men have lost just once, winning 11 of their outings so far, including a narrow win over Chelsea over the weekend.

Arsenal could do with more depth in midfield and out wide as they look to maintain their title bid, and Ferdinand believes they should consider Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, who has been regularly linked with a move to north London in recent years.
Speaking on his VIBE with FIVE Youtube channel, Ferdinand said: “He would be good at Arsenal. He would be a good challenge to the two that are there [Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli] and would be a good option.”
Zaha is only under contract with Palace until the end of the season, and he may be sold for a cut-price figure should he decide not to pen a new deal. The winger is synonymous with the Eagles, but he is now getting towards 30 years of age, and he may want silverware to show for his obvious talent.

It will be interesting to see if they also sign a winger, with Martinelli and Saka needing more competition, and indeed more support amid a busy and compact season.
