The Gunners are still top of the pile, and they come into this one having only failed to win two of their Premier League games to far. And they are in fine form, defeating Nottingham Forest with ease last weekend, and adding to that with a win over FC Zurich to top their Europa League group during the week.

With Manchester City just two points behind, Arsenal will likely have to keep winning to remain top, and Chelsea should provide a big test. But in the meantime, we have taken a look at the latest transfer news and rumours concerning the Gunners.

Tielemans update

Brendan Rodgers has issued an update on the future of Youri Tielemans, who has been linked with the Gunners. Tielemans’ contract expires at the end of this season, and he is yet to pen a new deal.

“Youri provides the team with a great know-how in the game,” Rodgers has said. “He’s a wonderful player to work with. I’ll just continue to work and develop his game while he’s here, however long that is. I’d love him to sign another deal and continue his journey here. We’ll see in the coming months.”

Arsenal decided not to move for Tielemans at the end of the summer window, and it will be interesting to see whether they make a move in the winter, when the Belgian is likely to be available for a reduced price, given his contract situation.

Valencia star Yunus Musah is not ruling out a return to Arsenal despite being happy on Spain’s east coast.

“You never know,” he told CBS Sports. “I had a great time at Arsenal developing there, I still have friends there, the coaches were great, being an Arsenal player in general is great. I loved playing for Arsenal.

“I’ve nothing against the club and if one day it turns out to be that it’s time to go back then it’s possible. For now I’m really happy at Valencia and I’m looking forward to carrying this season on in the same way we’re doing now.”
