Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale admitted that he had formed a dog-walking supergroup with two teammates as he made an adorable visit to a Guide Dogs centre in St Albans.

The shot-stopper visited the site last week accompanied by SkySports in the build-up to the meeting with Southampton and now Dogs Trust have shared a charming five-minute clip of Ramsdale interacting with dogs and owners.

The 24-year-old tries his hand at training the dogs and met visually impaired Arsenal fan Colin and his four-legged friend Arthur.

When asked if he was a football fan, Colin said: "Oh god, yes. I use to be a season ticket holder over at the Emirates before I lost my sight. I didn't lose interest but I lost my sight and you go through all those emotions.

"I do go every now and again when my family says there's a spare ticket. My father is also visually impaired and he uses the radio programme purely for that match to listen to what's going on. I get all the shouting in my ears anyway!"

Ramsdale is a proud doggy dad himself and is the owner of two-year-old Chow Chow Patrick, although admitted his pup wouldn't make much of a guide dog.

He said: "We do half an hour walks, we get halfway around and he sits there and needs a break. You wouldn't get there quickly with my dog."

When speaking to SkySports about his love for dogs and the title race, Ramsdale also admitted that those walks are sometimes with Arsenal colleagues who also have pups to walk.

He said: "We've got a little group at football, me, Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney have done a few dog walks which is great and we hardly speak about football.

"I've been in positions worse than the one I'm in now but when you've got this creature when you walk in the door with a big tongue hanging out their mouth and their tails wagging, they don't care, they just want to see their owner.

"I came in yesterday after West Ham and he came bounding over and went off outside and was back to normal."

Arsenal fans who wached the video couldn’t help but swoon for Ramsdale and his affection for dogs, labelling him “top class” and “such a cool guy” while another joked they were “defo not crying rn”.

One user commented: “He just goes from one reason why I love him at Arsenal to another. What an amazing lad and amazing human being.”

Another added: “Such a great addition to the squad, both on and off the pitch. Mentality and ability to play out from the back. Won’t be long until he’s Southgate’s No.1. COYG.”
