This was the second fastest goal conceded by Arsenal at home this season, with the first being scored by Philip Billing of Bournemouth after just 9.11 seconds.

Former Arsenal player Theo Walcott doubled Southampton’s lead in the second half, before Gabriel Martinelli pulled one back for the home side.

Duje Caleta-Car then restored Southampton’s two-goal advantage, appearing to seal the three points for the visitors.

However, Arsenal showed great resilience in the dying minutes of the match, with Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka scoring in the 88th and 90th minutes respectively to earn a draw.
