Arsenal are being linked with a summer swoop for Athletico Paranaense striker Vitor Roque along with fellow English top flight outfit Chelsea and Spanish giants Barcelona, as per Sport. The 18-year-old, who is a Brazil international already with one cap under his belt, is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

Roque started his career in the academies at América Mineiro and Cruzeiro before his current club snapped him up back in 2022 on a five-year contract. He has since scored 11 goals in 41 games in all competitions but may be on the move at the end of this campaign.

Rival midfielder eyed

Arsenal are reportedly one of a few clubs keen on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. Football Insider claim the Gunners will ‘monitor’ his contract situation at Stamford Bridge along with Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United with it yet to be seen whether he will be sticking around with the Blues.

The 24-year-old’s deal expires in June 2024 and he is yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension. He has played 195 times for the London club so far and has scored 33 goals, as well as having loan spells away at Vitesse and Derby County. The England international may also be out injured for the rest of this term with Frank Lampard saying: “Reece James unavailable. Probably for the season. Mason Mount probably the same. Potential for the last game but probably not.”
