Arsenal player ‘closing’ in on exit as latest Leandro Trossard update emerges

Latest Arsenal news and rumours as the Gunners prepare for their next game

Arsenal return to Premier League action with a home clash against Manchester United on Sunday. They go into that one on the back of their 2-0 away win over rivals Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

Mikel Arteta’s side are eight points clear at the top of the table. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...

Defender to leave

Arsenal defender Harry Clarke is ‘closing’ in on a permanent move to League One side Ipswich Town, as reported by the East Anglian Daily Times. The 21-year-old has spent the first-half of this season on loan in the Championship with Stoke City and made 10 starts for the Potters. However, he is being given the green light to leave the Emirates Stadium for good now.

Trossard update

It has been well documented that the Gunners are trying to snap up winger Leandro Trossard from fellow top flight club Brighton and Hove Albion. The Belgium international has found the net seven times so far this term. Reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed that he has agreed personal terms over the switch.

Goalkeeper departs

Arsenal goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri has joined SJK Seinajoki on loan until the end of the campaign. The 19-year-old has recently been with Chelmsford City in the National League South and was their first choice, making 23 appearances altogether to boost his development. He has now been sent over to Finland to carry on getting senior football experience under his belt.
