‘Advanced talks’

The Guardian claim Arsenal are in ‘advanced’ talks with Trossard over a switch to the Emirates Stadium. The report adds that they hope to get a deal over the line. He has scored seven goals in the league so far this term.

No formal bid yet

Despite speculation mounting that he will be on his way to join Mikel Arteta’s side, Sky Sports report that the Gunners are yet to make an official bid at this stage. However, they add that an offer is expected to come soon as they seek a new addition.

Price tag?

Trossard has been a key player for Brighton over the past few years, scoring 25 goals in 122 games to date, and they won’t let him leave on the cheap. The Daily Mail suggest his price tag will be in the region of £20million.

Other interest

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with Arsenal’s rivals Spurs this winter. The Evening Standard report that he has attracted ‘interest’ from Antonio Conte’s side but they could now be pipped to his signature.

Slammed by boss

Trossard has recently been criticised by Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi which flung his future at the AMEX Stadium up into the air. He told La Repubblica: “Nothing serious happened with Trossard. But recently, he didn’t give 100% in training and on matchday, that’s it on my side. Football deserves respect. I don’t have to apologise for anything.”
