Joey speculated that a previous accident that happened in rehearsals for the show, before the live programme began, has now been hit by frostbite.

The reality star shared a video of the nasty looking scar on his finger alongside an ice cube and cold face emoji with the song Frostbite by Preme.

He then reassured fans that he would not miss out on the figure skating show with a second video that showed him and his skating partner Vanessa Bauer in their costumes.

Joey said he’d be “surfing on the ice” as he showed off their summer themed outfits, with the reality star in blue swimming shorts and Vanessa in a bikini.

The update on his injury comes just a week after Joey shared a picture of himself laying in bed with an injury to his leg.

Joey hid his foot from fans with an ice skate emoji hinting that his foot might have been injured during rehearsals.

The TOWIE star showed that his knee was wrapped in a black bandage as he told his 1.8 million that he’d “had better days”.

Joey and his German figure skating partner Vanessa Bauer, 26, have been surrounded by speculation of a blossoming romance.

During last week’s episode of Dancing on Ice, Joey tried to sneak a kiss from Vanessa following their routine.

After skating to Breaking Free from High School Musical, the reality star leaned in to kiss his skating partner who looked uncomfortable by the situation.

Figure skater Vanessa was spotted leaving Joey’s house last week, before the pair left for a breakfast together.

The couple have not yet made direct comments on the rumours that they are dating with Joey making subtle hints that the pair are together.

Fans of Dancing on Ice have been left frustrated after focus appears to be on whether Joey and Vanessa are dating.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have pressed the couple on the nature of their relationship on several occasions.

A few weeks ago, Holly Willoughby asked Joey and Vanessa: “You were like a real life Sandy and Danny out there. Have you got something you want to tell us, you two?”

Joey then told the show’s hosts: “Danny and Sandy are getting on pretty well” as he looked at his partner for reassurance before adding: “If you know what I mean?”

Holly then asked: “I mean, is it going steady, as they’d say in Grease?”

Joey then confirmed: “Of course yeah, always steady,” whilst Vanessa looked uncomfortable by the questioning.

Phillip Schofield then pressed the couple to comment further by asking: “Are you confirming this?”

With Joey then adding: “I’m not confirming anything”, as the pair laughed with each other, despite Vanessa looking slightly uncomfortable.
