The Westminster street, Longharvest Lane, takes centre stage in Netflix's new crime fiction Bodies, but is it actually a real place in London?

The new thriller, which is set in the east of the city, follows a murder investigation across four different eras after a mysterious body is found in Longharvest Lane.

Starting off in the present day, viewers soon learn the exact same body has also been discovered in three other time periods, meaning audiences watch detectives from each era try to solve the same murder.

But is Longharvest Lane, the spot in which the mysterious body is found a real place in London? Let's take a look

Is Longharvest Lane in Netflix's Bodies a real place in London?

No. While the Netflix series names Longharvest Lane as a street in Whitechapel, a road by the same name does not actually exist in the east London area in real life.

However, there appears to be some similar variants to the fictional street name in the capital, including Long Lane in Southwark.

Viewers of Netflix's Bodies may also be surprised to learn that the series was not even filmed in London. It was actually filmed in and around Yorkshire.

Despite the capital did not actually host filming for the series some of its familiar sights were recreated. A 1940s Aldgate East Station set was built in Grimsby for the thriller.
