Who is The Kitchen star Kano? From Football to Music and TV
Having become a familiar face on screen for his role as Sully in Top Boy, Kano, real name Kane Brett Robinson, is set to take on the character of Izi in the new Netflix dystopian London film The Kitchen.
Mirroring his TV roles, Kano is also a Londoner off-screen and hails from the east of the city. The 38-year-old was born and raised in East Ham.

Hide AdAway from the screen, the actor is also a known name in the grime music scene. Having previously been awarded Album of the Year at the MOBO awards for his fifth studio album, Kano has helped pave the way for grime in mainstream music along with the likes of Wiley and Dizzee Rascal.
Before pursuing a career in music, Kano was a rising footballer. He even had trials for the west London club Chelsea FC.
