Halloween is almost upon us, and as the city gets a ghostly makeover for the chilling season, themed events and happenings are starting to take over the capital.

While some of London's most famous spots are set to welcome Halloween lovers for celebrations, a number of bars and pubs are embracing all things spooky.

From haunted pubs to eerie-themed comedy nights, there's plenty for Londoners to do this Halloween.

Screamfest VII: Shock Exchange

Those easily spooked may want to miss this spot if they don't want to pay more for drinks. Before heading into Kraken Rum's Shock Exchange bar, guests will have to wear a heart-rate monitor through an immersive horror gauntlet. The higher their heart rate is, the more they will have to pay for a tipple.

Sound at The Cumberland

Halloween fans wanting to try some hauntingly delicious cocktails can browse Sound's spooktacular drinks menu. From Frankensour and Death’s Door Martini to Concrete Doll and Brain Haemorrhage, there is a range of Halloween beverages to try.

Ten Bells

This pub is said to have a few ghosty regulars. With links to the infamous Jack The Ripper and gruesome happenings to past landlords of the spot, the venue has built a reputation as one of the most haunted places in the capital and will no doubt welcome many Halloween lovers this October.

Wolfy's Bar

Halloween fans can spend a less frightening evening at Wolfy's Bar at its spooky-themed comedy night. There will be no tricks, just treats as guests enjoy a series of stand-up sets from up-and-coming comics.

The Owl & Hitchhiker 

The Owl & Hitchhiker is welcoming Halloween fans for an eerie-themed pub quiz in celebration of the scary festivities. Guests are encouraged to dress up and can expect to answer questions on gruesome facts as well as horror movies.
