West Ham are being linked with a summer swoop for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow. The Bundesliga ace is expected to be a man in-demand at the end of this season.

According to German news outlet Kicker (via Sport Witness), the Hammers are ‘lining up’ a move to lure him to the London Stadium. Fellow Premier League side Aston Villa are also said to be keen.

Crystal Palace are believed to have tracked his progress over recent times with The Athletic suggesting he has been on their radar. However, the Eagles brought in 20-year-old Naouirou Ahamada from Stuttgart in the January transfer window in his position, along with Arsenal loan man Albert Sambi Lokonga.

West Ham could see Sow as a long-term option in the heart of midfield. Declan Rice is facing an uncertain future and they need to start thinking about potential alternatives going forward if their star man was to leave.

Sow, 25, has been a key player for Frankfurt since joining in 2019 from Young Boys and helped them win the Europa League last year. He was at the World Cup earlier this winter with the Switzerland national team and his contract expires in 2024.

In other news, Crystal Palace youngster Malcolm Ebiowei is still waiting to make his Hull City debut. The winger, who is on loan with the Tigers, is expected to be in their squad for next weekend, as per Hull Live.
