Crystal Palace were active on deadline day and ended up signing Naouirou Ahamada from Stuttgart and Albert Sambi Lokonga from Arsenal. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club following the end of the January transfer window....

Free agent latest

Andre Ayew is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest on a free transfer, as per the Daily Mail. The Eagles have been linked with the Ghana international along with Everton but he is poised to reunite with his former Swansea City boss Steve Cooper at the City Ground.

Crystal Palace showed ‘tentative interest in a left-back and a forward’ this winter, as detailed in a report by The Athletic, along with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher and Manchester United wing-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, moves didn’t materialise.

Rejected by striker

O Jogo claim Patrick Viera’s side were snubbed by Benfica striker Vitinha who opted to join Marseille. Premier League pair Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton are also believed to have been turned down by the 22-year-old.

Mateta update

Jean-Phillipe Mateta emerged on the radar of strugglers Everton late in the window. The Guardian claim the Toffees’ swoop for the Frenchman ‘failed’ and he stayed put at Selhurst Park beyond the deadline.

Interest in defender

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is apparently on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur. Football London say Spurs are ‘admirers’ of the former Chelsea man.

Signings done

The Eagles secured the signings of midfielder Dylan Reid and attacker Franco Umeh from St Mirren and Cork City, with The Athletic reporter Matt Woosnam confirming the news on Twitter. The pair have been brought in as long-term additions.
