Lanzini, who was on international duty with Argentina, was said to be fine to take part in training, and is expected to play against Everton at the weekend.

“It’s common for West Ham players to use a chauffeur service - especially for those who live in town.
“They were on a dual carriageway so it could have caused complete carnage.

The midfielder has faced a string of driving offences since joining the Hammers in 2015, including speeding, driving without insurance and failing to produce.
West Ham confirmed the crash, saying: “It happened on the A12 near the training ground.”

Hide AdA Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 12.49pm on Thursday, 31 March to reports of a collision on the A12 in Romford.
“Officers attended and it was reported that a car had left the westbound carriageway before colliding with a tree. No injuries were reported.”
