Released West Ham man signs for new team as club keeps ‘eye’ on two new players

West Ham are busy preparing for the new Premier League season.

The Hammers have played three friendlies so far against Swiss club Servette, National League outfit Boreham Wood and League One side Ipswich Town and are unbeaten so far.

David Moyes’ side are back in action this weekend against Reading which will be another opportunity for their players to get some more minutes under their belts.

West Ham are apparently interested in Hellas Verona striker Giovanni Simeone.

The Argentina international is the son of Atletico Madrid boss, Diego.

Italian news outlet CalcioMercato have credited Moyes’ side with a potential swoop to lure him to England this summer.

New left-back on radar

The Hammers are reportedly watching AFC Bournemouth left-back Jordan Zemura.

He helped the Cherries gain promotion to the Premier League last term under Scott Parker but is out of contract next year.

TalkSPORT claim West Ham are ‘keeping a keen eye’ on his situation and could see him as ideal competition for Aaron Cresswell.

Released winger finds new club

Andriy Yarmolenko has found himself a new club after his release from the London Stadium at the end of the last campaign.

The Ukraine international spent four years with the London club and made 86 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with 13 goals from the wing.

He is now embarking on a new chapter in his career with Al Ain FC and will be playing his football in Abu Dhabi.
