West Ham ‘plotting’ transfer of former Everton man and Juventus player eyed

All the latest West Ham United transfer news and rumours on Tuesday.

West Ham United are in pre-season friendly action this evening against National League side Boreham Wood.

The game against the non-league outfit is an opportunity for David Moyes to take a look at his players and see how they are doing with the new Premier League campaign starting at the start of next month.

The Hammers will be in Europe again next term and need to ensure they are ready for another slog of a season.

Here is a look at all the latest news coming out of the club today....

Full-back on radar

West Ham are said to be interested in signing Juventus full-back Luca Pellegrini.

The 23-year-old made 21 appearances in Serie A last season after loan spells away at Cagliari and Genoa to gain experience.

Calciomercato claim that the Hammers want him along with fellow London side Fulham this summer.

Ex-Everton man linked

Moyes’ side have been linked with a swoop for France international Djibril Sidibe.

The former Everton loan man is a free agent after parting company with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco at the end of last month after six years on the books there.

Football Insider have reported that the Irons are ‘plotting’ an approach for him ahead of next term, with Fulham again mentioned as a potential competitor.

Cresswell excited by new signing

Defender Aaron Cresswell is excited by the signing of Flynn Downes.

The former Ipswich Town midfielder has made the move to the London Stadium from Championship side Swansea City.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Cresswell has said:

“I’ve heard some good things about him and funnily enough I know his agent well as well and he said Flynn is a great kid and he works hard and he’s good on the ball and I’m excited to see him play, so he’s a great addition to the squad.”
