David Moyes has led the Hammers to a period of consistent success and the former United manager will now hope to build on that success heading into the 2022/23 season.

He has already had a busy transfer season but will hope to strengthen his troops even more by the time the window ends.

West Ham have taken part in two pre-season friendlies so far, beating Ipswich Town 2-1 in the first and drawing with Boreham Wood 1-1 in the second.

They will now prepare to face Reading, Rangers, Luton Town and Lens ahead of the commencement of next season.

As they build up their squad and skill ahead of their first Premier League fixture against reigning Champions Manchester City, here is the latest transfer news from the Hammers...

According to reports from The Express, David Moyes in his management team are prioritising signing the former United free agent Jesse Lingard over Sassuolo’s Giacomo Raspadori.

The Hammers had been in contact with the Serie A side over a potential move for Gianluca Scamacca, making an offer of £40million, however the Italians wanted a further £5m.

Raspadori’s name cropped up in these discussions but recent reports from Ryan Taylor suggested that Moyes would prefer to sign Lingard who has already spent sixth months at loan in London during the 2020/21 season rather than attempting to raid the Sassuolo midfield and attacking options.

The Hammers withdraw interest in Stuttgart star

West Ham are reportedly no longer interest in pursuing a deal with the Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic. This news is according to the European football journalist Jacque Talbot.

The 6ft7in striker suffered a hampered season but still managed to scored six times in 15 appearances and it was thought the Hammers were in talks over a deal worth between £16 and £20m.

Talbot has since taken to Twitter to report that West Ham have withdrawn any interest in the Austrian international.

Rumours have also been circling through Sky Sports Germany that the giant may move to Manchester United as Erik ten Hag hopes to make big changes in his Red Devils squad.

West Ham eye up former Ligue 1 star

Football Insider have reported that West Ham are looking at the possibilities of signing the former Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe.

The right-back reportedly turned down a deal to stay with Monaco in the hopes of a move to the Premier League. He has previously enjoyed a loan spell at Everton during the 2019/20 season and West Ham are one of two possible suitors to make his return to England possible.

Both West Ham and fellow London club Fulham are ‘plotting moves’ for the defender who can play both left and right-back.

Sidibe is a FIFA World Cup winner after lifting the trophy with France back in 2018.

Both West Ham and Crystal Palace had been linked with the Spanish attacking midfielder Manu Garcia, however reports from La Voz de Asturias have suggested that the Sporting Gijon, who was once with Manchester City, player will be moving to Aris Thessaloniki instead.

Gijon are reportedly negotiating a deal for Aris to sign the one-time Spanish international to the detriment of both Moyes and Patrick Vieira.

Aris finished third in the Greek Super League in the 2021/22 season and have signed former Watford and QPR star Andre Gray and Rafale Camacho for next season.
