Diop, 25, could fall down the pecking order with David Moyes’ side following their signing of Nayef Aguerd from Rennes.

Sky Sports (live transfer blog, 12.07.22, 2.50) report that Marco Silva’s men remain ‘in talks’ with him still about a possible switch across London.

The two parties are still apart on his valuation and he is expected to play for the Hammers in their pre-season game against non-league side Boreham Wood this evening.

Fulham are back in the Premier League after storming to the Championship title in the past campaign and could see the former France U21 international as someone who would bolster their defensive department.

He is a player who knows the league well and has proven to be a solid performer at the top level.

Other Fulham news
