£79m West Ham, Newcastle United & Manchester United transfer 'target' set to be 'offered' to clubs in January

The Paris Saint-Germain star will be offered to clubs on loan in January according to reports.

West Ham United are in desperate need of some attacking firepower to help kickstart their season with an under-pressure Julen Lopetegui at the helm. They come out of the international break 14th in the Premier League and five points above the relegation zone.

It could come in the form of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Randal Kolo Muani who is reportedly set to be available on loan during the January transfer window after he has struggled for game time at the Parc De Princes. According to Football Transfers, PSG are prepared to offer Kolo Muani to clubs on loan and the report continues to add that West Ham are keen on the 25-year-old and could be one of the clubs that makes a move for the striker.

The Hammers have somewhat of a void up front as things stand with an out-of-sorts Michail Antonio and new signing Niclas Fullkrug who has struggled to stay fit so far this season as he remains out with a calf injury.

Adding a player of Kolo Muani’s quality would be a vital move to help protect Lopetegui’s job at the London Stadium. The PSG forward joined in the summer of 2023 for a fee of £79m from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. He has since made 52 appearances, scoring 11 goals. However, his form at the German club was the reason why Muani was tipped to become a world-class striker in Paris as he scored 26 goals in 50 games for the Bundesliga club. He also has 27 caps for France, scoring eight goals for his National Team.

West Ham face Premier League competition to sign Kolo Muani

The Hammers aren’t the only Premier League team that is keen to sign the attacker as Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in adding him on a loan deal in January.

Despite the fact that Eddie Howe has Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak at his disposal, the Magpies are looking to add more attacking firepower in their pursuit of returning to the Champions League after being out of the competition this season. The Hammers are to visit Newcastle on Monday night football this week.

The report also suggests that Manchester United are monitoring Muani, but they have been linked to several higher-class strikers such as Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres who they would likely pursue instead.
