That win, added to previous impressive results against West Ham and Newcastle, has put Antonio Conte’s side firmly in fourth place and three points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal who have the comfort of a game in hand.

So with everything pointing to an epic end to a riveting season for Spurs, Antonio Conte will hope to have some of his injured stars back for what promises to be a interesting final weeks of the campaign.

The Spurs boss has been in some fine form himself and his in-house camera, that is referred to as Conte Cam at Spurs, is quite popular within the Spurs fan base.

News of him testing positive for Covid has slightly affected the preparation for the game, as he is a man who gets his hands dirty during training.

But there is huge optimism that he will be back in the dug out to take charge of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

Expected return date: 16/04/22 against Brighton Hove and Albion

Unfortunately Tanganga’s season is over, with the defender having undergone surgery and now begun his rehabilitation.

He had such a promising start to life under Conte but his latest knee injury has meant he will have to write off this season and come back stronger when fit, which is really unlucky.

Expected return date: 2022/23 season

Matt Doherty

There are reports that he has picked up knee ligament damage, and even though the club is yet to confirm it it is likely there will be an update in today’s press conference.

It was unlucky for the Irishman that his injury came at a time when he was enjoying his best form since moving to Tottenham from Wolves last season.

Given that the reports are ligament damage, don’t expect to  see the wing-back in action anytime soon.

Oliver Skipp

The English midfielder has been out of action since January and was expected back this month, but a fresh set back means he is back to working indoors and might need more time to get up to speed.

Before his injury, he was one of the best players in the team and his absence has infuriated his manager during press conferences recently.

He had started training on his own but had to be sent back into the gym after developing pain in his pelvis.

He is now likely to miss the game against Brighton on Saturday, but should be targeting the Leicester home game for a return.

Expected return: Leicester (H) 30/04/2022
