Antonio Conte is hoping that the win against Manchester City will be the springboard Tottenham needs to now go on and secure Champions League football for next season.
Harry Kane was the hero in a pulsating match in Manchester with the LillyWhites eventually winning 3-2 on the day, ensuring City suffered only their first defeat since October 2021.

Despite the win Spurs are still eighth in the league table with 39 points, but have played three fewer games than fourth placed Manchester United who have 46 points.
If Antonio Conte’s side can win all three games in hand then they will jump from eighth to fourth, but he will need some of his injured players to be back.
The Italian manager gave an update on the state of some of his injured stars and when they could be back.

The former Real Madrid left back missed the game against Manchester City due to Covid and also missed Monday’s training as he continues to recover from the virus.
Antonio Revealed he was improving but might still not make it for tomorrow night’s game.
The Italian manager said: “About Sergio he missed the training yesterday but we will see today and apart from that the situation is the same as it was with the Manchester City game.”
Potential return date: Leeds (A) February 26
Oliver Skipp
The 21-year-old has not played since Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea back in December, and despite Antonio Conte’s push to get him back the medical team is taking a cautious approach.

All indications are that he will not be travelling with the team to Burnley.
The Italian manager revealed the midfielder had not made much progress this week and was a huge doubt for the game.
Conte added: “About Skipp and Tanganga they are recovering but they are not ready, and I mean they are not still ready for the game.”

Japhet Tanganga
The young English defender is still struggling with ankle ligament damage, and is expected to be out for at least six more weeks.
Antonio Conte has reiterated that he counts on the young defender, but the complicated situation with his ankle means he will have to be patient while making a full recovery.
The return of Cristian Romero has softened the blow of the loss of Tanganga, and Eric Dier, who put in a great shift against Manchester City, should be fit for the Burnley game.
