Tottenham ‘make offer’ as they ‘line-up’ £38million Serie A double transfer swoop

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a host of players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham could launch a double summer raid on Serie A - according to reports.

Spurs landed just two signings during the January transfer window, as they secured a permanent deal for Rodrigo Bentancur and a loan swoop for Dejan Kulusevski.

And Antonio Conte could look to further reshape his squad once the trading period re-opens.

Indeed, the Italian is already being linked with some moves for players currently plying their trade in his homeland.

Here’s what the latest transfer gossip is saying:

Tottenham ‘make offer’ for experienced winger

Tottenham have reportedly made an offer for soon-to-be free agent Ivan Perisic.

The Croatian international is set to see his current contract with Inter Milan expire in the summer and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League - with Arsenal having premously been reported to hold an interest in the 33-year-old.

But CaughtOffside claim that Spurs have made the first move to try and lure Perisic to England, having offered the wideman a contract.

Given the former Bayern Munich loanee is now in the final six months of his contract, he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a club outside the country he currently plays in.

And the report suggests that the proposal from Spurs would see Perisic increase his current salary.

However, there is said to be an understanding that a decision will not be made quickly - with Perisic keen to take his time to evaluate his options.

Spurs ‘enquire’ over £38million Italian international

And Perisic may not be the only player to swap the Serie A for Spurs come the summer - if the transfer rumours are to be believed.

Reports in Italy from AS Roma Live have claimed that Tottenham have also enquired over Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 22-year-old is thought to be in high demand ahead of the summer window, with Liverpool also reportedly having asked questions over the former Inter Milan youngster.

Zaniolo, who has eight caps for Italy, is under contract until 2024 but there are doubts over whether he will extend his current deal.

And Roma could therefore opt to cash-in during the summer window, with reports suggesting their asking price could be as high as £38million.
