A new era is dawning on Tottenham Hotpsur after it was announced that Ange Postecoglou will become the club’s new manager next month. The Australian will look to spearhead his new side to a better run of form when the new season comes around but first, there is the small matter of the summer transfer window.

The majority of the talk is still surrounding Harry Kane’s future and whether he will give one last year to Spurs or move onto pastures new. But there are also links between the club and potential new signings — here’s are the latest headlines within the Tottenham rumour mill.

Spurs are said to be considering a huge swoop for Jadon Sancho this summer as they look to rebuild their squad under Ange Postecoglou. That’s according to the Daily Star, who report that the 23-year-old is on Tottenham’s radar and they are considering a £50 million bid for his services.

Sancho is being monitored by several clubs after struggling with both fitness and form since joining Manchester United in 2021. However, his stats from his time at Dortmund should not be forgotten. The England international racked up 50 goals and 64 assists during his time in Germany and his versatility to play across the front three and in midfield makes him a desirable target for any club looking to bolster their creative options.

James Maddison transfer latest

Spurs remain heavily interested in snapping up James Maddison this summer but they face a lot of competition from other clubs. Alan Hutton believes that the midfielder will be subject to bids from “four or five” clubs, including the North Londoners as he seeks a move from Leicester City this window.

“There will probably be four or five top clubs that will be interested for James Maddison. Bids will be happening. Tottenham, Newcastle will be among them,” Hutton told Football Insider.

Spurs are high up the pecking order when it comes to the race for Maddison but it is believed that the Magpies are now ahead of them as they look to build on their strong 2022/23 season.
