Spurs finished 8th in the table last season and will not be in any European competition in the next campaign which may well be a blessing in disguise for them. It allows them to fully focus on the league and significantly reduces the number of fixtures they have to play.
Maddison, who has two caps under his belt for the Three Lions, has played for Leicester since 2018. He has since made 203 appearances for them in all competitions and has chipped in with 55 goals, 10 of which came last term.

Spurs could see Maddison as someone to inject more quality in their ranks after a tricky past 12 months. Postecoglou has been brought in as their permanent replacement for Antonio Conte and he has become the first ever Australian to manage in the English top flight.
He makes the move on the back of winning the Scottish Premiership title twice with Celtic. The 57-year-old will be eager to put his own stamp on the squad.
