Lucas Moura has a big decision to make on which direction he wants his career to take with his contract at Tottenham Hotspur expiring at the month. The attacker will be leaving this summer on a free transfer.

He moved to the Premier League back in 2018 and has since made 221 appearances in all competitions, scoring 39 goals. The Brazil international also chipped in with 27 assists.

Moura’s most famous moment for Spurs was scoring their winner against Ajax in their Champions League semi-final victory in Amsterdam. They ended up losing to Liverpool in the final in Madrid.

He has speaking about his future plans, as per AS: “My thought now is to take advantage of the holidays, enjoy my country, my family and friends, rest, take advantage of this time and then prepare for the next season.

“There is nothing defined. I have some offers from various clubs and I am going to wait, calmly analyze what appears and then make the decision with my family. I don’t have a preference of a place.

“When you have children, priorities change and the priority is to find a good place to live, one that is good for my children. A country that is safe. People think about those things. I must analyze the proposals and make the best decision with my family. And knowing that it will be a special place that makes me happy.”

He added: “Going back to Brazil is always something that goes through my head. It is my country, a place that I love, that I have enormous affection for. I was already here in Sao Paulo.

“For now it is not in my head to return to Brazil now. I am still 30 years old, I have many things to conquer outside the country. As I said, we are going to see the proposals that appear, I am not closing any doors. Now is the time to rest and then analyze.”

Prior to his move to Spurs, Moura started his career at local side Sao Paulo and broke into their first-team as a youngster. He was then lured away by PSG in 2013 and spent five years in France.

The forward was a hit in Ligue 1 and fired 46 goals in 229 games before his move to London. It is expected to be a summer of transition at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with both incomings and outgoings expected, with a new manager on the way as well.
