Latest transfer news and rumours regarding Brentford following the end of the Premier League season

Brentford will be looking to get the best deal possible for goalkeeper David Raya this summer. The Spaniard is facing an uncertain future at the Gtech Community Stadium ahead of the upcoming transfer window and is expected to head out the exit door.

The Bees have snapped up stopper Mark Flekken from Bundesliga side Freiburg on a four-year deal and his arrival could pave the way for their current number one to depart. In this latest update by CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, fellow Premier League side Aston Villa have joined London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the race for the 27-years-old’s signature.

Raya, who is from Barcelona, has been with Brentford since 2019 and has become one of their most prized assets. He helped them win promotion from the Championship a couple of years ago and has adapted with ease to the step up to the top flight.

The ‘keeper has made 161 appearances for the Bees in all competitions to date. Prior to his move down south, he spent seven years on the books at Blackburn Rovers and played 108 times for the Lancashire outfit, as well as having a loan spell away at Southport as a youngster to gain experience.

In other Brentford news, they have snapped up midfielder Ethan Brierley from Rochdale following the Dale’s relegation to the National League. The 19-year-old has penned a three-year deal and will initially link up with the B team.
