Harry Kane’s resolve to move on will truly be tested with Real Madrid now making him their prime target to replace Karim Benzema this summer.

Kane who is coming off another 30-goal campaign is without a doubt a Tottenham legend, having become the club’s all-time top scorer and also now closing in on Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring benchmark.

But there remains one outstanding elephant in the room and that is his lack of trophies to show for what has truly been one of Eengland’s best players of all time.

Kane scores goals but the fact that a stick of lack of trophies has been used to beat him always means he will have a massive decision to make with both Manchester United, who have had a successful campaign under Erik ten Hag, and Real Madrid both come calling this summer.

As of the time of writing this, Tottenham are still hoping to keep Kane and even hold intentions of getting him to sign an extension- but Kane who has handled his situation at the club with pure profession would have no problem seeing out his contract and looking to move on as a free agent when his contract is up in 12 months.

The fact that Madrid is in for him makes it quite interesting, Real Madrid are possibly the only team that you don’t turn your back on when they come calling which will make his decision much more interesting and intriguing.

Tottenham are on the verge of appointing Ange Postecoglou as their manager and will desperately not want to send out the wrong signal by selling their best player.
