Tottenham star Harry Kane scored on his return to the Premier League with a beautiful header to take a step towards redemption after his penalty miss at the World Cup.

Kane had dominated the headlines and started the game quietly even though it was his goal that finally got Spurs back at it and to show his consistency, he’s now scored 10 goals on Boxing Day, that is more than any Premier League player in history.

The England striker’s goal at the GTech stadium now means Kane has scored against all 32 teams that he’s faced in the Premier League. His manager Antonio Conte says he never really had any doubts but just gave him a few days off to rest.

He told Amazon Prime : “He came back from Qatar and mentally he has been fine and he rested for a few days and he had a programme to follow and he is very important for us and his character and everything is the best player we have so there was really nothing to add.

“He’s ok and for us he is a very important player for us and he is going to be for a very long time to come.”

Antonio Conte also said he was unable to explain why his team always allow opponents to get at them before showing incredible mental strength to wrestle back the game.

He added: “This is really positive because this group of players mentality and character but my question is why do we have to give ourselves this problem before showing it.

“In the end for the people it was an exciting game and I think for sure I’d like to have my team to be more stable but because of the season many times we are down and we have the strength to come back.

“We know the league is very difficult and today we know the difficulty and this is a very difficult team to play against. They are very good with set pieces.

“I prefer to get three points but it’s not easy.”
