QPR player ratings - 'Frustrating' and 'misfiring' 3/10s but 'colossus' 8 so far this season
The international break comes at a welcome moment for QPR and Marti Cifuentes having lost three Championship fixtures in a row and sunk into the relegation zone.
There's been just one league win this season, which came against Luton Town in August, as the Catalan coach struggles to oversee a return to form at Loftus Road. The visit of Portsmouth this weekend looks to be a pivotal game in the R's season.

Hide AdQPR brought in a string of new faces in the summer and those signings continue to need time to adjust to the Championship. LondonWorld looks at how each member of the QPR squad has fared so far this season.
Paul Nardi, 8
Looks to be a clever transfer acquisition having arrived from Gent this summer. The 30-year-old could look more settled still but has pulled off some impressive saves, being named in the L'Equipe French Team of the Week for his efforts against Millwall last month.
Joe Walsh, 8
Has only had three appearances, all coming in the Carabao Cup, but continues to prove he has a bright future ahead of him. Was hailed as 'fantastic' by Marti Cifuentes for his efforts in the penalty shootout win over Luton Town.
Kenneth Paal, 4
Has looked a little off the pace this season both defensively and in his involvement in attacking moves. QPR are short of options in this position so need more from the 27-year-old.

Can never fault the former Burnley man's commitment and his versatility has been an asset for Cifuentes, but perhaps a little clumsy at moments.
Jake Clarke-Salter, 7
QPR are a better team with him it, so injuries this season have been a worry. The R's need him to stay fit.
Harrison Ashby, 6
The Newcastle United loanee has split opinion so far. Some have called for the 22-year-old to be starting games but his penchant for attacking can leave the R's struggling at the back.
Hevertton Santos, 6
Clearly still adjusting to the Championship having arrived from Portugal this summer. There have been moments of promise, including a goal against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup, but needs consistency.

Has been a colossus in defence at times this season with QPR struggling for form. The side would certainly be in a worse position if it wasn't for the 33-year-old's reliability - he'll be key to getting back on the right track.
Morgan Fox, 6
Has missed the majority of the season with injury but made his long-awaited return from the bench against Derby County.
Liam Morrison, 7
Has only made two appearances since his summer move, both in the Carabao Cup, and is now injured. QPR won both of those matches that he did play in, against Cambridge United and Luton Town.
Ilias Chair, 7
Has managed just 43 minutes as he returns from a lengthy back injury lay-off. Looks desperate to get the side firing again, Cifuentes has missed his main man.

Has a couple of goals to his name this season and has shown moments of quality but a passenger at times. Is perhaps another who will improve as he adjusts to the Championship.
Sam Field, 6
The 26-year-old has proved he can be a game-changer in midfield with some huge performances towards the end of last season but hasn't looked the same this term.
Jonathan Varane, 4
Used very sparingly in the Championship so far, and that's probably a good thing with some shaky performances. There's still hype around the midfielder, who is currently suspended following a red card against Blackburn Rovers, which was detrimental in that fixture.
Karamoko Dembele, 7
The winger can clearly be a handful for any Championship defence with his pace and directness. Needs to find the goals and assists to make the moments of promise mean something.

A frustrating campaign so far for the midfielder. The 30-year-old can be hugely talented with the ball at his feet, which makes it all the more infuriating when he struggles to make the right decision.
Elijah Dixon-Bonner, 5
Had been linked with a loan move away this summer and continues to be used sparingly by Cifuentes.
Jack Colback, 7
The veteran midfielder may not be the most exciting in his work but is robust and full of running. His return from injury will be a boost for QPR.
Zan Celar, 3
Brought in from Lugano this summer to add goals, having plundered 21 in all competitions last season. The misfiring striker hasn't done that and, truthfully, doesn't look close to breaking his duck at the moment.

Another of the summer signings who looks to need time to adjust to the Championship. There's a nifty little winger here but the second tier's physicality is a step up. Should still come good.
Michael Frey, 8
Not many QPR fans would have believed that the Swiss striker would bag four goals by October after an underwhelming first few months at Loftus Road last season. It would be too far to suggest the 30-year-old is prolific but his turnaround in form is a pleasure to see.
Paul Smyth, 6
Tends to be an option from the bench and hard to fault the energy he brings when tasked with trying to turn a match around. Scored in the Carabao Cup win over Cambridge United.
Alfie Lloyd, 7
Salvaged a point for QPR against Sheffield Wednesday last month. The 21-year-old lacks experience but calls for more playing time are understandable with his enthusiasm.

Has only been afforded 34 minutes across four appearances so far this term.
Marti Cifuentes has spoken about managing the winger's minutes but fans are keen to see the 19-year-old impact the first team.
