We compared Marti Cifuentes' record with last 10 QPR bosses and it's a rare reason for R's hope
QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes is adamant that his job is not in jeopardy despite a torrid run of form in the Championship so far this season. The R's sit rock bottom of the table after 15 matches with just 10 points to their name.
The 42-year-old managed to help the London outfit avoid the drop last year with impressive guile and there had been hopes of avoiding such a relegation scrap this term after his first summer with the team. However, that has not proven the case with a defeat to Leeds United on Saturday the latest blow for the side.

Hide AdSpeaking after that game, Cifuentes said: “I receive a lot of confidence from the club and I work as always. I’ve not been saying much about it [the injury problems] but we are approaching the international break and the main priority now is to recover players.
“We’ve got nine players out. Nine. With a squad like ours, it’s very difficult, especially when many of those players are very important. Is it an excuse? No. We need to do better, compete better and get more from games."
Some sections of the QPR fanbase are already hinting at a need for change while others are more sympathetic to the hand that Cifuentes had been dealt. LondonWorld looks at how the current QPR boss' record compares with the last 10 managers at Loftus Road.
