Millwall midfielder George Honeyman has said he wants to stay at the club beyond the end of this season amid his expiring contract, but he remains relaxed. He told the South London Press: “Yeah – definitely. I really enjoy it here. We’ve got a great dressing room and fantastic staff to support us on and off the pitch.
“My wife-to-be is settled down here in work. So it would definitely be easier. But, at the same time, you also know it is a business side of it. You look at the age of players that are coming into the football club, I may not fit the model for them any more. I don’t know…I’m purely guessing here.”
Chair blow
QPR star Ilias Chair has now been ruled out of this weekend’s clash with Leeds United after previous doubt over the extent of his injury. Hoops boss Marti Cifuentes has said: “It seems that there is some injury in his knee, but the length and specifics of the injury I cannot tell you (until more is known).
“I don’t want to say more than I should until I get the final results, but I will say that it looks like weeks. How many, I cannot tell you at the moment.”

Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt is said to be pushing for a move away from Elland Road ahead of the January transfer window. According to MOT Leeds News, the forward is keen to go out on loan to get more regular playing opportunities having been stuck on the sidelines.
Daniel Farke has preferred options up top, and Gelhardt has been stuck with just two league appearances all season, while he has only made one outing in the Carabao Cup. The forward is likely to find a Championship loan home if Leeds to agree to loan him out and the reports claiming he wants to leave on a temporary deal are accurate.
