Marti Cifuentes takes his QPR side to Leeds United on Saturday in search of a second Championship win of the season.

Any signs of a faint QPR resurgence in draws against Burnley and Sunderland were soon forgotten when stuffed 4-1 by Middlesbrough at Loftus Road on Tuesday as pressure continues to grow on Marti Cifuentes.

Next up for the London outfit is a tricky trip to promotion-chasing Leeds United. Daniel Farke's side are looking to bounce back having been the latest Championship outfit to be beaten 1-0 by Millwall on Wednesday.

Leeds United team news

Leeds United will be without club captain Ethan Ampadu once again. The Welsh international has a knee issue and is expected to be sidelined until the New Year despite not requiring injury.

Winger Largie Ramazani has an ankle injury and is still a couple weeks away from a return to training, so won't face QPR. Neither will midfielder Ilia Gruev, who isn't expected back from a knee injury until January.

Joe Gelhardt picked up a hip issue prior to the recent win over Plymouth Argyle and was touch-and-go for the midweek meeting with Millwall but didn't make the matchday squad, so the 22-year-old remains a doubt.

Out - Ethan Ampady, Ilia Gruev, Largie Ramazani. Doubt - Joe Gelhardt.

QPR team news

It's a bit of a dire situation on the injury front at QPR as the R's continue to struggle in the Championship this season. Cifuentes could now be without the influential Ilias Chair for the trip to Elland Road after the Moroccan picked up an injury against Middlesbrough last time out.

The Catalan coach said: “We don’t know yet. He was in a lot of pain. I guess he will get some tests to know what kind of injury it is, but he has some pain in the knee. I will speak with the medical staff and know what the assessment is.”

Chair joins a long list of injured first team stars. Striker Michael Frey continues to miss out with a calf injury, leaving the misfiring Zan Celar leading the line.

Pacey winger Kader Dembele has now missed three matches with a knee problem and looks set to be absent at Elland Road again. Midfielder Jack Colback recently underwent knee surgery and had been touted to return in November but is yet to make a matchday squad.

In defender, Kenneth Paal is still nursing an injury picked up against Coventry City last month and is set to be absent. He had been replaced in the side by Newcastle United loanee Harrison Ashby, but the full-back appeared to pick up a hamstring injury and was subbed against Sunderland before missing out against Middlesborough and is therefore still a doubt.

Centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter has had a recurring calf problem this season and could miss out again, along with Morgan Fox who has a longer term injury.

Out - Morgan Fox, Michael Frey. Doubts - Kader Dembele, Jack Colback, Kenneth Paal, Harrison Ashby, Jake Clarke-Salter.
