Premier League ‘Unsung Heroes’ of the season - including West Ham United, Brentford and Crystal Palace stars
It’s time to recognise the players that have shone outside of those sides challenging for major honours throughout the season.
It has been another memorable season in the Premier League with the tension and drama lasting up until the last minute of the campaign.
Manchester City produced a stunning comeback against Aston Villa to become champions for the fourth time in five seasons and edge out Liverpool after one of the most action-packed title races for many a year.
Tottenham Hotspur clinched that all-important fourth and final Champions League place at the expense of North London rivals Arsenal and Leeds United completed a dramatic escape from relegation in the final minutes of the season.
Jesse Marsch’s side claimed a 2-1 win at Brentford thanks to a late Jack Harrison goal and that was enough to condemn Burnley to a return to the Championship.
Those were just come of the highlights of a dramatic year in English football’s elite as the likes of Mo Salah, Kevin de Bruyne and Son Heung-Min have captured the headlines throughout the season.
But a whole host of other Premier League stars deserve recognition for their achievements during the campaign.
LondonWorld selects our alternative Premier League Team of the Season as we look beyond those players that dominated the headlines over the last nine months.

An England call-up, a run to the FA Cup semi-finals and praise from a whole host of pundits. It has been an excellent year for Palace’s Marc Guehi and he will be an integral part of Patrick Vieira’s plans for his second season at Selhurst Park. Photo: Getty Images

4. CB: Dan Burn (Newcastle United)
After being a steady influence during the first half of the season with Brighton, Burn made a staggering impact upon his return to his hometown club. Averaging over two goals conceded a game prior to his arrival, the Magpies average dropped to just 1.1 in his 16 appearances for Eddie Howe’s men. Photo: Ian MacNicol
