Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha could miss the Premier League game against Manchester United after picking up a suspected hamstring injury close to his tendon.

The Eagles star was forced off in the game against Newcastle and the club had hoped the off weekend due to FA Cup football would have been enough to get him back- but it looks like Zaha will be racing against time for the trip to Manchester.

LondonWorld.com understands that the 30-year-old has picked up a hamstring injury which is close to his tendon, and history tells us that these kind of injuries normally take around three to four weeks before healing completely.

Zaha is in the final six months of his contract at Selhurst but has been the main man for the side again, featuring in every Premier League game this so far and helping them to 12th on the league table.

He is also the club’s leading scorer in the Premier League with six goals and has certainly earned the right to be in the discussion for Palaces’ all-time best player after years of excellence for the south London club.

The Eagles are to bring in any one with barely a week to close the transfer window. Manager Patrick Vieira has spoken about the need to add to the squad.

There are reports that the Eagles are monitoring Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo and a fee in the region of £10 million could be enough to tempt the Championship side into selling their striker who has been a mainstay in the team since breaking through in 2018.

The Eagles are yet to replace Christian Benteke while Jean-Philippe Mateta and Odsonne Édouard havent proven to be able to score consistently in the Premier League.
