Crystal Palace remain without long-term absentees James McArthur and Nathan Ferguson. The Eagles are also sweating over the fitness of defender Joachim Andersen after he went off with a calf problem against Chelsea in the last game. Apart from that, there are no fresh injury concerns.

As for Manchester United, goalkeeper Jack Butland can’t play against his parent club, whereas it is yet to be known at this stage whether their other January signing Wout Weghorst will be ready to make his debut.

Midfielder Donny van de Beek has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, whilst Axel Tuanzebe and Jadon Sancho are also sidelined. Diogo Dalot missed the derby last weekend and ex-Palace man Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be ready to step into his shoes if he can’t play again. It is also worth noting that Fred and Casemiro are both one booking away from suspension.

Viera’s side won this fixture 1-0 in the last campaign with Wilfried Zaha scoring the winner against his former club. The teams also met over pre-season last summer in Australia and United won 3-1.

OUT: McArthur, Ferguson, Van de Beek (Utd), Sancho (Utd), Butland (Utd), Tuanzebe (Utd)

DOUBTS: Andersen, Weghorst (Utd), Dalot (Utd)
