Crystal Palace are reportedly battling it out with Sporting Lisbon to sign Sacha Boey. The right-back, who plays for Galatasaray, is a wanted man between now and the end of the transfer window.

According to Turkish news outlet Milliyet, the Eagles are ‘active’ in the chase for the Frenchman and are willing to fork out €17million in an attempt to land his signature. However, there is competition for his signature from Portugal.

Crystal Palace could see Boey as an ideal alternative to Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka with him now enjoying more game time at Old Trafford. At the age of 22, he has the potential to grow and develop in the future at Selhurst Park.

He has played for Galatasaray since 2021 and is under contract with the Istanbul giants until the summer of 2025. He has made 36 appearances for them in all competitions to date.

Prior to his move to Turkey, the ex-France youth international rose up through the ranks at Rennes and broke into their first-team as a youngster, as well as having a loan spell away at Dijon to gain some experience.

In other Crystal Palace news, winger Michael Olise has been linked with a surprise switch to Lyon. Media Foot claim the Ligue 1 side are ‘considering’ an offer for the former Reading man.
