Vieira has said that he loves the competitiveness and seriousness his squad attach to games, while Lampard will just hope he has enough men to do the job - after two players were sent off against Brentford.

Andros Townsend, Fabian Delph, Yerry Mina and Nathan Patterson are ruled out with injuries for the must-win game.

And Salomon Rondon and Jarrad Branthwaite are suspended after their red cards against the Bees.

There are also late fitness tests for the trio of Ben Godfrey, Donny Van de Beek and Michael Keane - but they are understood to be progressing well ahead of the game.

Lampard’s side will travel to the Emirates for the final game of the season, but taking on Champions League-chasing Arsenal is not what you want when fighting for your Premier League survival on the last day of the season.

The former Chelsea midfielder is reported to be quite upset with the sending off of Branthwaite, especially with Michael Keane not fully fit at this crucial stage of the season.

Crystal Palace though have made a late change to their plans ahead of their visit to Everton, deciding against staying in Liverpool the night before.

The Eagles will fly in on the day of the game and then will stay behind to recover, before travelling back to London ahead of Sunday’s match against Manchester United.
