Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter has emerged as a candidate for the Crystal Palace job should the Eagles decide to sack Oliver Glasner, according to reports. The Palace boss is under mounting pressure as his side are yet to win a game this season.
They come off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday night, leaving them 18th in the Premier League. Palace have drawn three games and lost five and sit above just Wolves and Southampton.

Hide AdGlasner’s fate is understood to be determined over the next four games before the November international break, much like Erik ten Hag at Manchester United before the previous break. Palace face a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend before trips to Aston Villa and Wolves, followed by a home game against Fulham before the break begins in mid-November. Should results fail to improve, Glasner could face the sack.
According to the Guardian, former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter is a potential candidate for the Eagles should Glasner leave. Potter has been out of work since he was sacked at Stamford Bridge in April 2023.
The 49-year-old previously held talks with Palace in February earlier this year when Roy Hodgson stepped down at Selhurst Park. Eagles’ chairman Steve Parish decided on Oliver Glasner over Potter at the time.
Two more candidates include a former West Ham United manager
Potter is said to be not the only candidate to potentially take over from Glasner, with former West Ham and Everton boss David Moyes also touted as a potential hires. Moyes has been without a job since he left West Ham United last season following two spells totalling six seasons at the London Stadium.

Southgate stepped down as England manager after eight years in the job following the Three Lions’ defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final. He has been replaced by former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Southgate does have previous experience in club management as he was the boss at Middlesbrough between 2006 and 2009. He won 45 games out of 151 for Boro during his time at the Riverside Stadium.
Glasner trying to find ‘solutions’ to Palace’s poor form
Following Crystal Palace’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday night, Oliver Glasner was quick to assess the mounting questions over his future at the club claiming that ‘nobody is blaming anyone’.

“We need the confidence and to get that we need to score goals. We will work hard to get this, to get the goals and the win. It's time for hugging the players, not for kicking them.”
