"Nobody is blaming anybody": Oliver Glasner assesses his future as Crystal Palace struggles continue

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner finds himself under pressure after the Eagles lost their third game in a row to Nottingham Forest on Monday night.
A Chris Wood goal was enough to seal Palace’s fate as they sit 18th in the Premier League and two points off the bottom of the table. Palace keeper Dean Henderson got a hand to the Forest striker’s shot, but it wasn’t strong enough to keep it out of the net at the City Ground. It has ramped up the pressure on Oliver Glasner who is yet to see his side win a game this season. However, the Eagles’ boss remains positive as they look forward to a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Hide AdSpeaking after the game against Forest, Glasner told the Evening Standard: "At the time we conceded the goal we had the momentum in the game and we had control of the situation. We worked and worked and worked to come back but they do not concede many goals at the moment. Disappointing but the mindset of the players makes me positive for the future.”
Palace’s next three games come against Spurs, Wolves and Fulham in the Premier League and they could have an impact on Glasner’s future should the team not improve and vitally pick up that first win of the season.
“It's tough at the moment to be honest,” he added. “But the character of the players, the hard-working. Yes, it's disappointing but nobody is blaming anybody. The chemistry is good in the dressing room. We need the confidence and to get that we need to score goals. We will work hard to get this, to get the goals and the win. It's time for hugging the players, not for kicking them."
Former West Ham manager in line to replace Glasner at Palace.
As pressure ramps up on the Palace manager, several names have been touted to take over from the 50-year-old at Selhurst Park. One of which is former West Ham United and Everton manager David Moyes.

Hide AdReports suggest that Palace have lined up Moyes as a potential replacement to Glasner. Going by the former Manchester United manager’s track record, he could be a shrewd appointment due to his experience in mid-table obscurity in the Premier League - something that Palace will be crying out for.
There are a number of other British managers available as of late with the likes of Graham Potter and Frank Lampard currently not in a job. Both were linked with the recent England vacancy, according to the Telegraph, which was taken up by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Oliver Glasner is one of the favourites to get sacked
The Crystal Palace manager is unsurprisingly one of the favourites to first face the sack in the Premier League. According to the bookmakers, Glasner is the fourth favourite to lose his job.
Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag remains the favourite despite the club deciding to stick with him during the last international break. Wolves boss Gary O’Neil and Southampton manager Russell Martin are also ahead of Glasner.
