Brentford are believed to be keeping tabs on the Yorkshireman at this moment in time. A report by The Sun has claimed that Thomas Frank’s side are ‘monitoring’ him along with fellow Premier League side AFC Bournemouth. Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers have been mentioned as potential suitors, as have Championship duo Watford and West Brom.

Yates has been on the books at Bloomfield Road since 2020 and has been a key player for the Tangerines since then. He has made 112 appearances in all competitons, chipping in with 39 goals and 14 assists. He is under contract with Michael Appleton’s side until June 2024.

He started his career at Rotherham United and went on to play 52 times for their first-team as a youngster. He also had loan spells away from the Millers at Harrogate Railway Athletic, Harrogate Town, Carlisle United and Swindon Town before leaving on a permanent basis.

Yates is in strong form at the moment and his links to other clubs is no surprise. He scored a brace last time out against rivals Preston North End.
