Crystal Palace’s number one is currently Vicente Guaita but at the age of 35, Patrick Viera’s side may now be eyeing potential long-term options. Brentford signed stopper Thomas Strakosha over the summer to compete with David Raya for their place between the sticks.
Maignan, 27, has been with AC Milan since May last year and penned a five-year deal with the Serie A giants. He has since made 48 appearances in all competitions, nine of which have come in the this campaign.
The French Guiana-born man started his career at PSG and rose up through the youth ranks of the Ligue 1 outfit but never made a senior appearance. Instead, he was sold as a youngster to Lille and went on to become their first choice instead.
Maignan helped them win the title in 2021 before he was sold to AC Milan. He has since enjoyed plenty of game time with the latter but is now being linked with a potential switch to England.
