Defender incoming

Brentford are ‘finalising’ a deal to sign South Korean defender Kim Ji-Soo from Seongnam FC, as per a report by the Daily Mail. The 18-year-old will cost in the region of £500,000 and will pen a four-year contract at the Gtech Community Ground. He is said to have been watched by Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon over recent times.

Beckham deal done

The Bees have tied up a permanent deal for Romeo Beckham from Inter Miami. The 20-year-old spent last term on loan with the B team and has done enough to warrant a one-year transfer.

Coach Neil MacFarlane has said: “We added Romeo to our squad in January and he’s been fantastic for the group. He’s had a terrific end to the season in terms of his recent match against Manchester City where he showed what he’s learned during his loan with us.

“We’ve continued to develop him in and out of possession and we look forward to him coming back in good spirits to continue working with him next season.”

Raya update

Goalkeeper David Raya is expected to leave Brentford in the near future. He has been linked with a whole host of teams including Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United.
