According to The Sun, the Gunners have submitted a £5.9million bid for the full-back, who is now in the last year of his contract.

It’s thought Arsenal want Grimaldo to replace Nuno Tavares, who is expected to leave on loan this summer.

Torreira update

Lucas Torreira is unsure on his future, but he said he could be convinced to join Roma.

The £26m midfielder spent last season on loan with Fiorentina but he has not joined them permanently after a low offer from the Serie A club.

Speaking to Ovacion atfer watching a game in Brazil, Torreira said: “I spoke with Mourinho some time ago. He is a coach that I admire. It is a chance that seduces me, but it is not easy.”

Dembélé latest

Arsenal could be set to miss out on ex-Celtic striker Moussa Dembélé.

Dembélé scored 21 times for Lyon last season, impressing after returning from a lacklustre loan spell with Atletico Madrid.

But according to Media Foot, it’s Manchester United who are stepping up their efforts to sign the striker this summer.

Arsenal have previously been linked with the Frenchman, but they now risk falling behind in the race.
