Another week of the summer transfer window is coming to an end after an action-packed seven days in the Premier League.

Arsenal welcomed Gabriel Jesus on a long-term contract on Monday, while Brentford brought in highly-rated defender Aaron Hickey - a former target of Mikel Arteta.

Tottenham Hotspur completed their sixth signing of the summer on Friday as Clement Lenglet joined on loan from Barcelona, while Chelsea remain only one of two teams yet to bring in any players.

With less than a month until the Premier League returns, here are all the latest updates from London...

Tottenham academy product heading for exit

Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga looks likely to leave the club this summer, with four clubs thought to be interested.

The Athletic reported on Friday that Bournemouth are in talks to sign the centre-back, with both both and permanent deals discussed.

However, the Cherries are facing increasing competition, with AC Milan, Southampton and Everton all targeting Tanganga.

The 23-year-old was handed his opportunity with the first team during Jose Mourinho’s tenure in North London, however a knee injury earlier this year knocked him out of the picture and it seems unlikely that he will be able to claw his way back into the line-up.

It is unclear where Tanganga’s preferred destination would be, however Bournemouth and Southampton may have the advantage of allowing the defender to remain down south.

However, the success of Fikayo Tomori at AC Milan may also tempt Tanganga to make the move to Italy.

Raheem Sterling to become one of Premier League’s highest earners

Raheem Sterling looks finally set to secure a permanent move to Chelsea next week after a £50 million deal was agreed with Manchester City.

The 27-year-old will become the first signing under Todd Boehly and could prove to be a brilliant addition if he can get back to his best, however it will come at a cost for the Blues.

Various reports have claimed that Sterling will become Chelsea’s highest paid player and one of the Premier League’s top three earners.

The England international is set to pocket £300,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge - overtaking N’Golo Kante’s £290,000-a-week wage packet.

Sterling will also become the eighth highest paid player alongside Man City’s Jack Grealish, falling short of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.

The forward’s new deal is a significant increase on the reported £200,000-a-week he was earning with the Premier League champions.

David Moyes makes Kalvin Phillips admission

David Moyes has expressed his disappointment following Kalvin Phillips’ £45 million move to Man City.

West Ham had attempted to snap up the former Leeds United midfielder this summer but lost out to the Premier League champions, however the Irons’ boss has been left frustrated that they couldn’t get a deal across the line.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Moyes revealed that they had bid more than City for Phillips - an offer thought to be around £50 million.

Moyes said: “We bid more than that. We’re trying to be competitive with the big teams.

“If we can’t, we have to find another way of keeping up with them.”

The Hammers were eager to reunite Phillips with Declan Rice, with the pair performing so well together at the Euros last summer.
