There will already have been plenty of excitement around the Brazilian, and that’s only going to increase as the start of the new season gets closer.

Fans will also have a number of other new signings to get excited about, including Fabio Vieira, and we could yet see more arrivals by the time the end of the window arrives.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Gunners.

Arteta talks Tielemans

Mikel Arteta refused to be drawn on interest in Leicester City star Youri Tielemans.

Asked about signing the Belgian midfielder this summer, Arteta said: “We never talk about players that are not ours.

“As I said before we can improve the team, we are still in the market and are going to try to do it, but we are not going to go to any specific names.”

Martinez latest

Ajax are said to be waiting on Arsenal amid the possible sale of centre-back Lisandro Martinez.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine over recent weeks, and according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have now made a fresh bid worth £43million.

According to the same report, Ajax are now waiting to see if Arsenal submit a fresh offer as they look to get as much as they can for their star centre-back.

Tavares interest

One Arsenal player attracting interest is left-back Nuno Tavares.

The Portuguese has been linked with an exit this summer, but it’s unlikely the Gunners are already willing to allow him to leave after just one year.

But they may be more willing to send him out on loan, and according to L’Equipe, Marseille are interested in the full-back, hoping to snap him up on a loan deal.
