They are back in action this weekend away at Manchester United as they look to make it six wins on the spin.

Here is a look at the latest news coming out of the club...

Midfielder was on radar

Arsenal reportedly had a look at signing RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana.

His former teammate Cheick Doucoure earned a Premier League move earlier this summer to London club Crystal Palace.

Mikel Arteta’s side considered a move for the Ivory Coast international but he ended up staying put, as per reporter Miguel Delaney on Twitter (see below):

Injury latest

Thomas Partey will miss the trip to Old Trafford which is a blow for his side.

The midfielder has been a regular so far this term but has picked up a thigh injury.

That’s according to the Evening Standard, who report the 29-year-old is ‘facing weeks’ on the sidelines now and joins Mohamed Elneny in the treatment room.

Arteta delivers verdict on window

Arsenal boss Arteta has said the club did a ‘phenomenal’ job in the transfer window.

The Gunners ended up having a busy window and most notably landed striker Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

Arteta has told the official club website:

“The club has done a phenomenal job, and put everything on the table to try to bring in the players and the profile that we wanted.

“We did business pretty early, but unfortunately in the past 72 hours Thomas [Partey] got injured in the same place as last time, and then Mo [Elneny] has a long-term injury. Then we had to react in the market and we tried, but at the end of the day we have to bring in the player that we feel is right for the team and for the club.”
