Arsenal have enjoyed a stellar start to the 2022/23 campaign as they head into Christmas at the top of the Premier League table. After years of disappointing transfer windows that saw them sign the likes of Willian, Nicolas Pepe and Cedric, the Gunners’ summer activity has helped them well on their way to their first league title in 19 years.
There was a lot of questions raised when Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta and even more when he made some risky signings such as Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White for over £70 million in total. However, the Spaniard’s ‘project’ is starting to pay off and they are arguably only a couple of players away from comfortably winning the title.
The North London club have been linked with a large number of players ahead of the January transfer window as they look to keep up their challenge of the top spot. Here is how next season’s starting line-up could look in February if the rumours are true...

9. Bukayo Saka
Saka only seems to be getting better for Arsenal, with his exceptional recent form earning him a start in England’s World Cup opener on Monday. The 21-year-old is expected to become one of the world’s best in an Arsenal shirt. | Getty Images

10. Gabriel Martinelli
Martinelli has bagged five goals and two assists in the Premier League this season and has looked pretty undroppable. The Brazilian will no doubt look even better after the World Cup and is very unlikely to be replaced. | Getty Images

11. Cristiano Ronaldo
With Ronaldo set to leave Old Trafford in January, the forward has been loosely linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Fans would likely prefer to stick with Gabriel Jesus up front, however if Ronaldo was to join then he certainly wouldn’t settle for sitting on the bench again. | Getty Images
