Arsenal have enjoyed a stellar start to the 2022/23 campaign as they head into Christmas at the top of the Premier League table. After years of disappointing transfer windows that saw them sign the likes of Willian, Nicolas Pepe and Cedric, the Gunners’ summer activity has helped them well on their way to their first league title in 19 years.
There was a lot of questions raised when Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta and even more when he made some risky signings such as Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White for over £70 million in total. However, the Spaniard’s ‘project’ is starting to pay off and they are arguably only a couple of players away from comfortably winning the title.
The North London club have been linked with a large number of players ahead of the January transfer window as they look to keep up their challenge of the top spot. Here is how next season’s starting line-up could look in February if the rumours are true...

7. Youri Tielemans
Tielemans has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal all year and would have got straight in the starting line-up not too long ago, however Granit Xhaka’s form this season would give Mikel Arteta a selection headache in midfield. | Getty Images

8. Martin Odegaard
