Stacey Solomon reveals she hasn’t washed her hair in two weeks after giving birth to daughter Belle

Stacey Solomon has given a glimpse into her life just weeks after giving birth to daughter Belle.

The television presenter, 33, welcomed her daughter with husband Joe Swash, 41 via a home birth.

Belle was born just two weeks ago and the mother-of-five has been sharing updates on how the family has been adjusting.

The insight into family life was shared in a video that celebrated her dad, David Solomon’s birthday yesterday.

Stacey revealed that she put a bow in her hair in the hopes that no one would notice that she hasn’t washed it since the baby was born.

In a video on her Instagram stories the television presenter spoke about how her older two children, Zachary, 14 and Leighton, 10, had returned to school after half term.

Stacey still has son Rex, three, daughter Rose, one, and newborn baby Belle at home with her and mentioned her appearance in her video.

During the Instagram post, Stacey told her 5.5 million followers: “I don’t usually look like this, I’ve put some makeup on because it’s my dad’s birthday, so I’ve tried to make an effort to go for dinner.

“By making an effort, I mean I’ve put some foundation on and a bow in my hair at the hope no one will notice I still haven’t washed it since I’ve given birth.”

Stacey’s husband Joe, who she married last summer, appeared to tease the Loose Women presenter, calling out in the background: “No, I have definitely noticed”, with Stacey jokingly telling him to “shut up.”

In the video she continued to explain: “It is very greasy but I don’t have the energy to stand there and wash it.”

Just a few days ago, Stacey had opened up about not washing her hair in a post that showed a series of photos of her holding her daughter.

She wrote in the post: “Snuggle Saturdays with Belle. The last time I stood here and took a picture you were inside my tummy ready to come out… The pjs have been washed but I can’t say the same about my hair.

“I love that I still have our bump too. The best memory of growing you and the perfect little ledge to sleep you on. Happy Saturday everyone. Lots of love from us. P.S I’m as tired as I look.”

After the video on her Instagram stories, Stacey shared a photo of her dad to mark his birthday.

The television presenter shared a photo of dad David with her two daughters, Rose and Belle with the caption: “Happy birthday grangrad! We love you to the moon and stars and back again.

“There’s no one else I’d take my greasy haired self out of the house for just after childbirth but you.

“You do so much for us. We couldn’t do life without you. You’re the best father and grandfather we could ever wish for and we are so grateful to have you in our lives.”
